Hrísey is a blog of two friends, Johannes Kjartansson & Siggi Eggertsson. They don’t really like the word blog, so from now on this site will be called bull, which derives from the now oboslete idea of Web Utilising Leopards (B.U.L.L.). Here the friends will write about everything they can think of like art, design, photography, illustration, soccer, tits, the stupid people on the mbl.is blog, poetry & music.
In real life, Hrisey is a paradise island. A distant place where the friends spent quite a lot of time together, and apart. Hrisey is beautiful, full of exotic animals, surrounded by water and black mountains, protected by whales and killer birds.
When the sky is foggy and the ground is soggy our minds tend to drift back to the lonesome but yet so awsome moments of self discovery in this island of heavy isolation and light perspiration. Where one could eat Cocoa Puffs for every meal and watch the Special Olympics without being harassed by teachers or news reporters. Where one could fight killer birds not wearing the mandatory bullet proof vest and eat pizza and drink beer sitting on a peninsula made out of nothing but rocks and dead fishermen. We have a dream. A dream where black boys and white girls and all kinds of colored kids can live together in harmony and unisexuality.
This dream is Hrísey.
